About the Role
OneSchool Global New Zealand invites a qualified and motivated educational leader to join the Hastings Campus Leadership Team as an Assistant Campus Principal. This is an 18-month fixed-term position to cover maternity leave, offering a valuable chance to contribute to a respected network of schools with potential for future roles dependent on organisational requirements and vacancy availability.
Responsibilities
The Assistant Campus Principal will support the Campus Principal by promoting academic excellence, fostering student wellbeing, and ensuring smooth operational management. Key duties include managing NCEA processes and student success, coordinating student assessment and reporting, overseeing both academic progress and pastoral care systems, mentoring teaching staff, contributing to quality assurance activities, and participating in campus development projects. Additionally, this role involves a teaching component within the school.
Requirements
- Current New Zealand teacher registration and legal eligibility to work in New Zealand.
- Demonstrated leadership experience, such as Head of Department, Dean, Curriculum Leader, Assistant Principal, or similar educational leadership roles.
- Comprehensive understanding of NCEA and senior secondary education pathways.
- Exceptional classroom teaching skills with a strong commitment to student achievement.
- Capability to establish and sustain positive relationships and cultivate a collaborative and supportive school culture.
- Highly organised, resilient, and dedicated to ongoing professional and institutional improvement.
Additional Details
The anticipated start date is as soon as possible, with flexibility for negotiation. Only candidates with prior New Zealand teaching experience will be considered. Applications must be submitted through the official employment page.
