Role overview
Kraft Heinz is seeking a permanent Assistant Brand Manager to join its Marketing team in Southbank, Victoria. This role is suited to someone who wants to build a long-term career in marketing within a fast-paced, collaborative environment that supports internal growth and progression.
The company is one of the world’s major food and beverage businesses, with a large global brand portfolio spanning condiments, sauces, cheese, dairy, meals, meats, beverages, coffee, infant nutrition, and other grocery products across more than 40 countries.
This position follows a flexible arrangement with 3 days in the office and 2 days working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Support the launch of new products by contributing to idea development, business case preparation, P&L tracking, go-to-market planning for Australia and New Zealand, and post-launch review.
- Plan and roll out annual communication activity, including advertising, point-of-sale, publicity, and consumer promotion programs for the assigned portfolio.
- Work with agencies to shape and deliver marketing and advertising campaigns.
- Track brand performance and build consumer understanding using research, reporting, and insight tools.
- Contribute to one-year and three-year strategic planning.
- Assist with yearly budgets, quarterly forecasts, and ongoing management of monthly advertising and promotion spend.
- Coordinate with cross-functional stakeholders across Sales, Operations, and Management to ensure delivery against deadlines and business goals.
- Complete all assigned work in line with Kraft Heinz policies covering Food Safety, Environment, Health and Safety, and Ethical and Human Resources standards.
What the role calls for
- Strong stakeholder management ability, with experience working across multiple teams to deliver outcomes on time.
- Prior brand management exposure in FMCG or a similar setting.
- Working knowledge of marketing processes and systems such as Stage Gate and DAMs.
- Comfort with solving problems creatively and recovering well from setbacks.
- Experience managing projects related to new product development, renovation, innovation, or advertising.
- Capability to analyse data, interpret findings, and turn them into practical recommendations.
- Ability to think strategically and convert strategy into measurable action.
- Clear written and verbal communication and confident presentation skills.
- Proficiency with MS Office, especially PowerPoint and Excel, along with other collaboration and productivity tools.
- A tertiary qualification in Marketing, Communications, or a closely related field.
- At least 2 years of marketing or marketing-related experience.
- Experience handling A&P budgeting, cost control, and forecasting.
