Job description

Overview

Become part of a collaborative finance team at a New Zealand construction company, offering diverse accounting exposure and the chance to shape your position according to your strengths and interests.

Key Duties

  • Assist with month-end closing processes, general ledger entries, and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Support management reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
  • Collaborate with project and quantity surveying teams to analyze costs and enhance forecasting accuracy
  • Contribute to managing progress claims, project accounting tasks, and sustainability-related financial reporting
  • Provide support for supplier onboarding, processing invoices, and handling supplier inquiries

Candidate Profile

  • Experience in month-end accounting, ledger management, and reconciliation duties
  • Strong knowledge of transactional flows within accounting systems
  • Possession of a relevant accounting degree and preferably progressing towards Chartered Accountant accreditation
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to efficiently handle multiple tasks
  • A proactive, inquisitive mindset with a humble and team-oriented approach
  • Background in construction or project accounting is advantageous but not mandatory
