Position Overview
Avōq invites a visionary Art Director to bring creative concepts to life across diverse client projects. This role involves crafting impactful advertising from concept to execution, spanning media such as social channels, digital platforms, TV, PR events, print, radio, outdoor, and experiential marketing. Candidates will collaborate closely within our New York City office, expected to be onsite four days weekly.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with copywriters to develop innovative advertising strategies that address client challenges and engage audiences.
- Create varied creative deliverables across multiple formats including video, photography, and digital media.
- Confidently present and explain work internally and to clients.
- Offer creative direction and strategic counsel to team members and clients alike.
- Manage production and post-production for video and still photography projects.
- Contribute actively to client acquisition initiatives.
Candidate Profile and Experience
- A conceptual thinker who can interpret intangible brand elements into compelling visuals.
- Strong interpersonal skills to influence and align perspectives.
- 3-5 years of professional experience with a portfolio showcasing expertise in advertising art direction.
- Up-to-date knowledge of current creative techniques and marketing innovations.
- Proficiency in client relations including pitching concepts and steering project outcomes.
- Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently without compromising quality.
- Understanding of user experience principles and web design best practices.
- Advanced skills with Adobe Creative Suite.
- Preference for candidates with agency background and/or formal advertising education; however, outstanding portfolios will also be considered regardless of degree.
