Job description
Position Overview
Join Serco in a collaborative environment dedicated to delivering innovative solutions to leading government clients. This role supports the Army Sustainment Command (ASC) with a focus on the Logistics Civil Augmentation Program (LOGCAP), requiring up to 25% travel and an active DoD Secret clearance. Located in Kaiserslautern, Germany, this position demands detailed research, policy analysis, and the development of operational planning documents.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operational management, synchronization, and coordination for LOGCAP, offering strategic recommendations on operational matters.
- Conduct thorough research and analysis on evolving policies, regulations, and industrial issues, crafting briefs and maintaining training materials on SharePoint.
- Create and manage comprehensive LOGCAP contract requirement packages ensuring accuracy and suitability.
- Assess and draft staff actions, requests for information, and formal briefings in line with Army regulation AR 25-50, collaborating with local LOGCAP planners.
- Respond promptly to inquiries, monitor ongoing operations and exercise requirements, and participate in relevant training events.
- Develop course curriculums and manage Master Scenario Event List (MSEL) injects for exercises.
- Attend meetings and teleconferences, maintaining exercise event scheduling and requirement updates.
Qualifications & Experience
- Active DoD Secret security clearance and U.S. citizenship mandatory.
- Bachelor's degree required with at least 10 years supporting Joint, U.S. Army, or component-level headquarters.
- Completion of military Intermediate Level Education (MEL4) and Support Operations Course (Phase 2) with logistics experience in deployment/combat support operations.
- Functional understanding of Joint Operation Planning Process (JOPP) and extensive knowledge of the Army sustainment enterprise and associated commands.
- Experience at a one-star or higher-level command and proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 25% of the time, with a valid U.S. passport.
