Role overview
The Area Retail Associate supports the Area Sales Manager by helping maintain strong execution, brand standards, and sales results across several PUMA shop-in-shop locations in a defined territory. The position connects store teams with regional leadership to improve store operations, execution quality, training, and adherence to company standards.
Reporting line
This position reports to the Manager Sales MBO (Upper North).
Key responsibilities
- Provide hands-on support to multiple shop-in-shop locations with routine operational needs.
- Monitor store-level KPIs and help store teams work toward sales goals through better selling behavior and customer service.
- Review store performance and share actionable observations with the Area Sales Manager.
- Make sure visual merchandising standards are followed consistently across all assigned locations.
- Coordinate with the visual merchandising team for seasonal rollouts, campaigns, and new product introductions.
- Check display execution and prepare corrective actions where standards are not met.
- Support replenishment, stock counts, and shrinkage control across stores.
- Identify fast-moving and slow-moving products and help balance inventory between locations.
- Flag stock shortages and inventory mismatches to the Area Manager.
- Conduct on-the-job training for new and existing retail associates.
- Reinforce product knowledge, selling techniques, and customer service expectations.
- Assist with coaching and performance improvement for shop-in-shop staff.

Working relationships
- Internal stakeholders: PUMA corporate teams, merchandising/trading, projects, training, and HR
- External stakeholders: shop-in-shop distributor teams, store or shop-in-shop owners, and department or floor managers
Eligibility and work style
This is a field-based position that requires regular travel across assigned stores on a daily or weekly basis. The role also calls for flexible working hours, including weekends and peak retail periods. The ideal candidate should have 2 to 5 years of retail operations experience. Experience with multi-store, shop-in-shop, large-format retail, or supervisory retail responsibilities will be considered an advantage.
Education
A graduate degree is preferred, especially in Business, Retail, or Marketing.
