Job description

Role objective

This position is responsible for generating insurance business from the assigned relationship or channel partner network in a defined area or zone. The role focuses on influencing the relationship partner so they can, in turn, recommend investment in Birla Sun Life Insurance to their customers. It also requires delivery of complete pre-sales and post-sales support to both the partner and end clients, along with the dedicated team assigned to the relationship. A key expectation is to meet business targets while maintaining steady quarter-on-quarter growth.

Key responsibilities and accountabilities

  • Manage relationships in an open-architecture environment and support bank customers with suitable service and product offerings.
  • Build strong knowledge of insurance products as well as bank products to manage stakeholder interactions effectively.
  • Maintain relationships across all relevant levels to achieve the desired business outcomes.
  • Develop new business within the assigned area and relationships to improve productivity and top-line contribution.
  • Use innovative approaches with partners to improve database penetration.
  • Follow the FLS review mechanism with a target of 40% activation and focus on 2 cases per active at ATS 50K.
  • Maintain the intended product mix of Traditional 50%, ULIP 40%, and Term 10%.
  • Contribute 15% more business than TATA and provide insights for new products and sales pitches based on a deep understanding of channel requirements.
  • Identify training requirements for both internal teams and channel partner teams.
  • Drive persistency as per company standards so renewals are completed on time.
  • Stay connected with customers, address queries promptly, and support timely renewals.
  • Ensure sales and servicing processes run smoothly, including sales calls, policy issuance, and complaint handling.
  • Communicate process changes and regulatory updates through appropriate training modules.
