Job description

Overview

We are looking for a Regional Credit Manager for the Prime segment to join our team in Delhi. The role involves overseeing regional credit operations, ensuring adherence to risk management frameworks, and supporting business growth while maintaining strong portfolio quality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and implement regional risk and credit operations ensuring compliance with established frameworks across all business lines.
  • Collaborate with Sales and Operations teams, escalating issues as needed to facilitate coordinated decision-making on loan proposals and exceptions.
  • Provide guidance to team members on complex cases, including technical, legal, and property-specific risk assessments.
  • Evaluate and approve credit proposals within authorized limits and assist team members with specific approval cases.
  • Track portfolio performance by monitoring bounce rates and delinquency buckets, identifying early defaulters, and ensuring timely collection of post-disbursement documents.
  • Drive process improvements to enhance operational efficiency while maintaining strict risk management standards.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams for effective problem-solving and decision-making aligned with business objectives.
  • Manage relationships with external vendors to maintain report quality and turnaround times within budget.
  • Ensure risk compliance through periodic reviews of MIS, reports, and escalation cases, enforcing established "Maker-Checker" controls across operations.
  • Address audit observations promptly and maintain minimal critical issues.
  • Identify and analyze cases signaling early warning signs for risk mitigation.
  • Collaborate with Collections and Operations teams to monitor delinquent accounts, support recovery efforts, and report any fraud cases to risk leadership.
  • Partner effectively with Sales and Operations colleagues to support business growth and sustainability through case-based decisions.
  • Lead and mentor the team to develop underwriting expertise and internal stakeholder management by enhancing technical knowledge of legal documents, property norms, and risk assessment practices.
  • Facilitate technical and behavioral training for team members and engage in personal development activities.
  • Maintain smooth cross-functional coordination to align efforts towards achieving business and functional goals.

Additional Information

This is a full-time, onsite position based in Delhi. Close coordination with multiple internal and external stakeholders is crucial for success. The role demands strong leadership, analytical capabilities, and stringent adherence to compliance and operational controls.
