Job Overview
This role involves providing consecutive interpretation services between Arabic and English languages for medical settings, ensuring effective communication between healthcare providers and Arabic-speaking patients.
Key Responsibilities
- Precisely interpret medical terms, diagnoses, treatment information, and communications between Arabic-speaking patients and medical personnel including doctors and nurses.
- Uphold strict confidentiality standards while handling sensitive patient information, following ethical guidelines in medical interpretation.
Qualifications and Skills
- Fluent in both Arabic and English languages.
- Prior experience in interpretation roles is required.
- Familiarity with medical terminology and understanding of healthcare systems.
- Strong communication abilities with cultural awareness and the capability to perform under pressure.
Technical Requirements
- Reliable internet connection with minimum 10MB download and upload speed.
- Personal computer equipped with at least 5th generation processor and 4GB RAM.
- USB headset and an HD webcam for clear communication.
- Use of a wired Ethernet connection to maintain stable connectivity.
Compensation
The compensation is set at $0.15 per minute of talk time, equating to approximately $9.00 per hour of active interpreting.
