Role overview
The AR Analyst will focus on customer credit oversight, deduction review and resolution, and support for cash application and collections activities. The position is important for protecting revenue by identifying invalid claims, finding the underlying causes of deductions, and coordinating with internal teams to close issues quickly and accurately. This is a full-time, on-site role based at CELSIUS headquarters in Boca Raton, Florida, with no people-management duties.
Key responsibilities
- Examine customer deductions such as pricing differences, short payments, returns, and freight claims to confirm whether they are valid.
- Work with Sales, Customer Service, and Operations to research disputed deductions and drive them to resolution.
- Raise credit memos or repayment requests in line with company policy and the results of the deduction review.
- Track customer balances, open deductions, and chargebacks to support timely closure.
- Keep thorough records for each case and ensure all actions align with internal procedures.
- Review customer credit risk and exposure, and recommend changes to credit limits when appropriate.
- Assist the cash application function by coding deductions correctly and matching remittance information.
- Build weekly or monthly reports on deduction and credit aging, along with key performance metrics for leadership.
- Spot recurring deduction patterns and help improve billing and claims workflows.
Requirements
- 0 to 3+ years of experience in accounts receivable, credit, or deduction handling.
- Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
- Hands-on experience with ERP platforms such as Great Plains, Oracle, or NetSuite, plus strong Excel skills; deduction tracking tools are an advantage.
- Intermediate to advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Strong analytical ability, high attention to detail, and an investigative approach to problem-solving.
- Clear communication and the ability to handle conflict constructively.
- Comfort working independently and across teams in a fast-moving environment.
- Experience in high-volume AR or shared-services settings is preferred.
- Knowledge of trade promotions, EDI, and retailer deduction practices such as Walmart and Amazon is preferred.
- Familiarity with root-cause analysis and continuous improvement methods is preferred.
- Experience using Great Plains is a plus.
