Program Overview
Embark on an exciting career journey in automotive technology by joining Tesla's 2027 Apprentice Vehicle Technician program. This comprehensive three-year apprenticeship combines full-time practical experience at Tesla's Service Centres with academic studies to earn a Certificate III in Automotive Electric Vehicle Technology, a nationally recognised qualification.
Within Tesla's cutting-edge, fast-paced environment, you will receive guidance and mentorship from expert technicians while working on advanced electric vehicles and proprietary service diagnostic software. This program paves the way to becoming a fully qualified Service Technician, perfect for those passionate about automotive innovation and career growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workshop and vehicles, ensuring smooth daily operations.
- Assist the broader Tesla Service Team in delivering excellent customer service experiences.
- Perform basic vehicle servicing, inspections, and maintenance duties under supervision.
- Gain proficiency in using diagnostic tools and automotive software systems.
- Develop knowledge of all Tesla vehicle models, service processes, and safety protocols.
Eligibility and Requirements
- Successful completion of Year 12 education.
- Authorization to work in Australia with full working rights.
- Possession of a valid driver's license.
- Ability to enroll and complete a Certificate III in Automotive Electric Vehicle Technology through a Registered Training Organisation.
- Strong communication capabilities, excellent time management, and a keen eye for detail.
- A demonstrated passion or keen interest in automotive technology, mechanics, and electric vehicles.
