Program Overview
Embark on a career in automotive technology with Tesla's 2027 Apprentice Vehicle Technician program. This three-year apprenticeship combines full-time, practical work experience within Tesla Service Centres with studies leading to a Certificate III in Automotive Electric Vehicle Technology, a nationally recognised qualification.
Participants will join a fast-moving, technology-driven environment supported by expert mentors and management. The apprenticeship offers hands-on involvement with cutting-edge electric vehicles, advanced diagnostic tools, and Tesla's proprietary service systems.
This structured program is designed to develop skilled Service Technicians ready for a long-term career in the field.
Primary Responsibilities
- Maintain cleanliness of the workshop and vehicles, supporting day-to-day service centre operations.
- Assist the Tesla Service Team in delivering excellent customer service experiences.
- Under supervision, perform basic vehicle servicing, inspections, and maintenance tasks.
- Utilise diagnostic equipment and automotive software tools to aid troubleshooting and repairs.
- Acquire comprehensive knowledge of Tesla's vehicle models, service protocols, and safety standards.
Candidate Requirements
- Successful completion of Year 12 education (or equivalent).
- Eligibility to work in Australia with full working rights.
- Possession of a current driver's license.
- Ability to enrol and participate in a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) program for Certificate III in Automotive Electric Vehicle Technology.
- Strong communication skills, effective time management, and keen attention to detail.
- Interest or enthusiasm for automotive mechanics, technology, and electric vehicle systems.
- A proactive, team-focused mindset and eagerness to learn continuously.
- A sincere motivation to pursue a sustained career as a Service Technician.
