Job description
Program Overview
Begin your automotive career with Tesla’s Apprentice Vehicle Technician program starting in January 2027. Over three years, you will gain practical experience by working full-time in Service Centres while earning a nationally recognised Certificate III in Automotive Electric Vehicle Technology.
At Tesla, you will be immersed in a dynamic, technologically advanced environment, supported by experienced mentors and management. You’ll work on state-of-the-art electric vehicles, utilising advanced diagnostic tools and proprietary service platforms.
This apprenticeship is designed to develop you into a fully qualified Service Technician and offers significant potential for career growth within Tesla.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain cleanliness in the workshop and vehicles, assisting in daily operational activities.
- Support the Tesla Service Team to provide excellent customer service.
- Perform basic vehicle servicing, inspections, and maintenance under supervision.
- Use diagnostic equipment and automotive software effectively.
- Gain comprehensive knowledge of Tesla vehicle models, service methods, and safety protocols.
Candidate Requirements
- Completion of Year 12 education.
- Possession of full working rights in Australia.
- A valid driver’s license.
- Eligibility to enrol with a Registered Training Organisation for the Certificate III in Automotive Electric Vehicle Technology.
- Strong communication abilities, effective time management skills, and meticulous attention to detail.
- A passion or keen interest in automotive technology, mechanics, and electric vehicles.
- A proactive approach, teamwork mindset, and eagerness to learn.
