Job description
About the company
The Warehouse Group owns and supports some of New Zealand’s best-known retail names, including The Warehouse, Warehouse Stationery, and Noel Leeming. Its focus is on creating engaging shopping experiences for customers across Aotearoa, while also backing community-minded and sustainability-focused initiatives.
About the role
This fixed-term Apparel Team Member position is based in Invercargill and runs until 23 January 2027. The role sits within the Apparel department and is suited to someone who enjoys fashion, customer interaction, and keeping a retail space looking sharp and well organised.
Working hours for this role are:
- Tuesday and Wednesday: 11:00am to 7:30pm
- Friday and Saturday: 8:00am to 4:30pm
Key responsibilities
You will support customers with their questions, help maintain the department’s presentation, and make sure merchandise is displayed in an appealing and orderly way. A strong awareness of the store layout will help you keep product gaps filled quickly and with the right items.
What we’re looking for
The ideal candidate brings a positive mindset, good communication skills, and a willingness to learn. Previous experience in a customer-facing environment such as retail or hospitality is helpful, though not essential. You also need to be comfortable with physical aspects of the job, including standing for long periods, using ladders, and handling some heavier lifting.
What’s on offer
Team members receive access to discounts through the Team Card, one paid day off each year for their birthday, one paid day each year to contribute to their community through Here for Good Leave, and opportunities to grow into other internal roles. Additional benefits may also be available.
Additional information
This is a fixed-term assignment ending on 23 January 2027. The role is onsite in Invercargill and involves regular physical activity as part of day-to-day retail operations.
