About the Role
Fiserv is seeking a dedicated Analyst in Transaction Monitoring Operations to play a critical role in reviewing transactions, alerts, and exceptions for financial risk and compliance adherence. This position requires precise adherence to established standard operating procedures (SOPs) and vigilant case management to ensure suspicious or irregular activities are efficiently identified and escalated.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough reviews of transactions, flags, and alerts generated by transaction monitoring systems according to defined parameters and guidelines.
- Evaluate alerts and exceptions to identify signs of risk, irregularities, or deviations from standard processes.
- Make operational decisions on transaction cases following documented SOPs, including exception handling and escalations.
- Report suspicious or unresolved cases promptly to supervisors or designated escalation points.
- Document all case review outcomes clearly and maintain comprehensive audit trails and evidence within internal tracking tools.
- Consistently apply operational procedures and uphold quality standards in compliance with review protocols.
- Identify and communicate recurring operational challenges or documentation issues to management for improvement.
- Work according to a roster-based schedule, including mandatory weekend shifts and a six-day workweek with compensatory offs.
- Maintain high productivity and accuracy in a fast-paced operational environment and adapt swiftly to any process updates or priority changes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Business, Finance, Economics, or a closely related discipline.
- Between 3 to 5 years of experience within transaction monitoring, fraud detection, risk, payments, banking operations, or related financial service functions.
- Proficient in following SOPs, case review checklists, exception handling logic, and escalation protocols effectively.
- Strong attention to detail with disciplined documentation skills and ability to handle large volumes of cases reliably.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills in English and an ability to work in a shift-based roster environment.
Preferred Experience
- Exposure to sectors such as eCommerce, Payment Services, FinTech, Banking, Card Issuance, Merchant Acquiring, or Financial Operations.
- Familiarity with alert management, case workflow tools, and review tracking systems.
- Ability to perform repetitive and timely tasks maintaining high accuracy standards.
- Capable of identifying patterns to enhance review processes and improve escalation quality.
