Job description
Role overview
This opportunity is for an Analyst to join a fast-growing real estate credit business in London that is backed by institutional capital. The platform provides financing for development and investment transactions throughout the UK, and it raises private credit funds for institutional clients such as pension funds, endowments, and family offices.
The team partners with established developers and private equity sponsors, offering funding across the full real estate capital structure, including senior debt, stretched senior debt, mezzanine finance, and equity co-investment. This role is suited to an early-career professional who wants direct exposure to complex property transactions and close involvement in origination, underwriting, execution, and portfolio oversight.
Deal analysis and underwriting
- Assess new opportunities and help with the first round of screening.
- Develop and update financial models that examine cash flow, financing arrangements, IRR outcomes, and sensitivity scenarios.
- Carry out transaction reviews, including borrower assessment, market analysis, and comparable deal research.
- Support the preparation of investment committee materials and credit documentation.
- Join site inspections and client meetings when required.
Transaction execution
- Work with outside advisers such as valuers, legal counsel, and project monitors.
- Help prepare transaction paperwork and related instructions.
- Support the deal process from approval through to closing.
- Assist with KYC and AML checks.
Portfolio management
- Review monitoring and valuation updates for active investments.
- Assist with portfolio analysis, stress testing, and reporting activities.
- Keep internal deal-tracking tools and records up to date.
- Support changes, waivers, and extensions during the investment period.
Candidate profile
The ideal candidate has 1 to 3 years of experience in real estate finance, banking, advisory, lending, or investment. A strong background in financial modelling and analysis is important, along with a degree in finance, economics, real estate, mathematics, or a related subject.
You should be detail-oriented, well organised, able to think critically about risk, and comfortable contributing in a small, high-performing team. The role also suits someone who is self-driven and proactive.
Why join
- Get involved in notable real estate transactions across the UK.
- Work with an experienced and entrepreneurial investment team.
- Build broad exposure across the full life cycle of a deal.
- Collaborate closely with leading developers and institutional investors.
