Job description

Company overview

Masdar, established in 2006, is a major global player in clean energy. The company develops, invests in, and operates renewable energy assets across multiple markets and technologies, with a worldwide project portfolio that has exceeded 65 GW so far. It is jointly owned by TAQA, ADNOC, and Mubadala, and is working toward a 100 GW portfolio by 2030.

Role purpose

This contract role supports the Ethics & Compliance team in the everyday delivery of Masdar’s Ethics & Compliance Program. The position focuses on administrative and operational assistance, helping implement and monitor policies, procedures, and guidelines, supporting third-party due diligence activities and systems, and maintaining accurate trackers, records, and reports. The role also serves as a first contact for routine ethics and compliance questions, while directing more complex issues to the relevant specialists.

Key responsibilities

  • Help roll out ethics and compliance processes and procedures across assigned corporate and business functions in line with the Masdar Ethics & Compliance Program, supporting effective management of compliance risk.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure the program is introduced and run smoothly.
  • Handle daily administration of the third-party screening platform, including reviewing due diligence questionnaires, processing quick screening requests, managing system access, and supporting third-party KYC reviews.
  • Assist with starting enhanced due diligence cases and keep the E&C tracker updated with case status.
  • Review a high volume of EDD reports and continuously refresh the risk and EDD trackers so they reflect the latest findings, assessments, and disclosures.
  • Act as a contact point for Business Partner Due Diligence queries and route more complex matters to senior team members.
  • Support ethics and compliance induction training.
  • When needed, coordinate with regional offices and Masdar Assets to track monthly joiners and leavers, share updates with shareholders, and launch required E&C training.
  • Help with the logistical and administrative side of training sessions and stakeholder engagement activities.
  • Prepare reports and progress updates, including periodic status reports on EDD matters, disclosures, and outstanding actions.
  • Keep department files, logs, trackers, records, and reports organized, accurate, and current.
  • Assist in planning and tracking the annual compliance budget throughout the year.
  • Process invoices and coordinate with Procurement, Finance, and third parties to support efficient and timely payments.
  • Work with Finance on related budget tasks, including submission of accruals.

Qualifications

A bachelor’s degree in business administration, law, or finance is required.
