Job Overview
A local café named The Little Cuppa, located within a shopping center about 15 minutes by bus from Hurstville station, is seeking an all-rounder to join their team. This role involves various tasks including order taking, serving coffee and meals, assisting barista duties by preparing cold drinks, as well as cleaning and closing activities. The current staff member is leaving and looking for someone to take over their shifts.
Key Responsibilities
- Taking customer orders using English communication skills.
- Serving coffee, food, and beverages.
- Supporting barista tasks such as making cold drinks.
- Performing cleaning duties and closing procedures.
- Engaging in other café-related tasks as needed.
Working Conditions
- The position requires medium to upper-intermediate English language proficiency to communicate effectively in a work setting.
- Workdays start mid-March, with 5 days a week including weekends, mostly on fixed days.
- Working hours are from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Prior to mid-March, hours may be shorter.
- The hourly pay rate is AUD 25, inclusive of tax, with additional superannuation benefits; confirmation to be made with the owner at the interview.
- Applicants must possess a visa eligible for employment in Australia.
- Preference for candidates who can commit for six months or more for a longer duration.
- The current staff will provide support initially to assist the new hire's adjustment and training.
