Airport Operations Control Center Officer

Overview

Qatar Airways is seeking an Airport Operations Control Center Officer in Doha, Qatar. This role supports safe and efficient airport operations by coordinating stand allocation, validating operational data, and monitoring key systems used across the airport environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assign parking stands at Hamad International Airport using the Gate Management System while respecting safety limits and traffic requirements.
• Process and verify flight data for both the current operational day and the following day within the Airport Operational Database.
• Keep the Airport Operational Database updated with operational changes for the period extending from the day of operations through the next 6 days.
• Track data movement across AOCC systems to maintain accurate, high-quality information for airport users and stakeholders.
• Observe AOCC systems and related interfaces to safeguard shift operations and initiate contingency actions when needed.
• Check the Electronic Visual Information Display System and staff information systems to ensure the passenger-facing data remains correct.
• Monitor approach radar, ASMGCS radar, VHF aeronautical frequencies, and Hamad International Airport updates to provide Ten Miles Out and Acting Landing times to all relevant stakeholders.

Qualifications

Applicants should hold either a high school qualification, vocational qualification, or diploma equivalent, along with at least 4 years of relevant work experience. Candidates with a bachelor’s degree or equivalent need a minimum of 3 years of related experience. Prior airport or airline operations training, such as passenger, ramp, or cargo courses, is expected. Experience in a similar role within aviation, including aerodrome operations, ground handling, or an airline setting, is also required.
