Job description
Role overview
This opportunity is shared by a hiring partner, which will handle applications and all subsequent recruitment steps. The employer is seeking an AI Project / Product Manager in Germany to lead delivery for AI-enabled products in a fast-moving fintech setting centered on payment infrastructure and automation.
The role blends project execution with product ownership. You will coordinate work across internal initiatives, help shape product direction, and partner with engineering and business stakeholders to turn needs into practical, well-defined solutions. It is a hands-on position with real influence over roadmap choices, delivery quality, and process improvements. The environment is suited to someone who is comfortable with technical complexity, enjoys structured execution, and likes using AI tools and agile methods to improve speed and efficiency.
What you will do
- Lead the full delivery cycle for several AI and fintech initiatives, keeping plans realistic, priorities clear, and execution on track.
- Use Jira as the main operating system for the team, maintaining backlog structure, task detail, prioritization, dependencies, workflows, and progress visibility.
- Build capacity plans, estimate timelines, spot risks early, remove blockers, and identify opportunities to improve how the team works.
- Partner with engineering teams to clarify requirements, coordinate support, and keep development moving smoothly.
- Run organized team meetings, keep documentation current, and maintain alignment between technical teams and business stakeholders.
- Develop a solid understanding of the product ecosystem, including feature links, dependencies, and system behavior.
- Help define roadmap priorities, evaluate trade-offs, and convert business objectives into structured technical requirements.
- Work with stakeholders to question assumptions, surface opportunities, and recommend practical product directions.
What the company is looking for
- Background in managing technical projects with a clear focus on delivery, execution, and measurable outcomes.
- Strong command of Jira, including epics, tasks, workflows, prioritization, dependencies, and roadmap planning.
- Good understanding of software development processes, with the ability to estimate effort, diagnose blockers, and maintain delivery control.
- Ability to interpret complex technical needs and explain workflows clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Self-driven mindset with strong ownership, analytical thinking, and comfort working in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience coordinating distributed international teams and cross-functional groups is an advantage.
- Experience in fintech, payment service providers, high-risk payments, or other financial technology areas is a strong plus.
- Exposure to AI-based products, technical ecosystems, financial metrics, or business unit economics is beneficial.
What’s offered
- The chance to shape AI-driven products inside an innovative fintech business.
- Compensation that reflects skills, experience, and impact on delivery.
- A fully remote setup with flexibility and limited bureaucracy.
- Strong ownership over projects and product-related decisions.
- Close collaboration with an engineering team that can bring ambitious ideas to life.
- Hands-on exposure to advanced AI tools, payment technologies, and technically demanding work.
- A rapid, innovation-focused environment that values efficiency and measurable results.
