About the Role

The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company, L.L.C., located in Doha, Qatar, is seeking a dedicated Agent for Reservations to join their team. This full-time, non-management role is based onsite and is integral to ensuring exceptional guest experiences by managing all reservation-related requests with professionalism and care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handle all room reservations, requests, modifications, and cancellations received via telephone, fax, or email.
  • Assess guest requirements to determine the most suitable room type, verifying availability and rates accordingly.
  • Clearly communicate policies related to guarantees, special rates, and cancellations to callers.
  • Record and attend to special requests submitted by guests.
  • Provide information about hotel facilities, services, and room accommodations in a courteous and accurate manner.
  • Apply sales techniques to maximize revenue opportunities.
  • Enter and access data accurately within the reservation system.
  • Correctly categorize special room reservations (e.g., courtesy rooms, employee discounts, travel agency inspection rates, wholesale reservations) by entering applicable codes and rates.
  • Follow established escalation procedures when addressing guest concerns.
  • Adhere strictly to company policies and procedures, maintain a neat and professional appearance, and uphold confidentiality of proprietary information.
  • Safeguard company assets as well as guest and colleague privacy and safety.
  • Warmly welcome and acknowledge all guests in line with company standards, anticipate their service needs, and provide genuine appreciation.
  • Assist persons with disabilities as required.
  • Utilize clear, professional communication at all times and manage telephone interactions following appropriate protocols.
  • Build and foster positive working relationships with coworkers, supporting team objectives and effectively addressing their concerns.
  • Meet quality assurance expectations and standards consistently.
  • Handle physical tasks such as moving, lifting, pushing, pulling, and positioning objects weighing up to 10 pounds independently.
  • Carry out any other reasonable duties assigned by supervisors.

Desired Qualifications

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent General Educational Development (GED) certificate.
  • Previous experience in a related field is not required.
  • No supervisory experience required.
  • No specific licenses or certifications needed.
