Overview

This role involves supporting students from Pre-K to Grade 5 with their homework and supervising them during outdoor activities. The candidate must be engaged with the children consistently and capable of managing the classroom and playtime independently while maintaining a positive demeanor towards both children and staff.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide homework assistance to elementary students (Pre-K through Grade 5).
• Oversee outdoor play to ensure children's safety and engagement.
• Collaborate with teachers by assisting in routine classroom procedures.
• Complete assigned tasks such as supervising students, copying educational materials, preparing instructional tools and bulletin boards.
• Support paperwork and record keeping as required by teaching staff.
• Deliver focused, small group or one-on-one instruction as needed.
• Work autonomously while also following directions from teachers and supervisors.

• Must exhibit a positive attitude towards children and adults.
• Self-sufficiency and initiative in classroom and play settings are essential.
• Willingness to actively engage and interact with children at all times.
