About the Role
Emory University is a prestigious research institution dedicated to nurturing academic excellence and cultivating future leaders. The School of Nursing seeks a dedicated Admission Advisor to advance student recruitment and admissions processes. This pivotal role involves serving as the primary contact for prospective students and their families, guiding them from their initial inquiries through to successful enrollment.
Responsibilities
- Engage in student recruitment activities by visiting high schools and participating in college recruitment fairs.
- Assess, analyze, and rate student applications for admission decisions.
- Host informational sessions for prospective students and their parents, as well as facilitate campus tours.
- Coordinate alumni volunteer involvement in recruitment efforts.
- Review and possibly assist in editing financial aid documentation.
- Draft correspondence and prepare reports relevant to admissions processes.
- Maintain consistent communication with prospective students through phone calls, emails, and other correspondence throughout all recruitment and admissions stages.
- Perform additional related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree or an equivalent blend of education, experience, and training is required.
- Possession of a valid Georgia driver's license and maintain an insurable driving record.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage diverse groups within the community.
Working Arrangement and Location
This position allows for significant work-from-home flexibility but requires occasional commuting to Emory University's campus in North Decatur, Georgia, based on business needs and department guidelines. The candidate must reside within Georgia. The university reserves the right to modify remote work status with prior notice.
