Job description
Position Overview
The Director of Admissions plays a pivotal role in guiding strategic leadership for all admission-related functions to meet enrollment targets while aligning with the college’s mission and standards. The position involves managing recruitment tactics, admissions processes, directing staff, and collaborating internally to identify and enroll students who fit academically and culturally.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive multi-year enrollment and admissions strategies, assessing market trends and institutional capabilities to inform planning.
- Set and monitor annual admissions goals that reflect institutional priorities.
- Work alongside leadership to forecast enrollments and spearhead strategic initiatives.
- Ensure admissions policies uphold the college's mission and core values.
- Coordinate with promotion and marketing teams to deploy domestic and international recruitment plans, manage communications, campus visits, events, and digital outreach.
- Evaluate recruitment success using data analytics and key performance metrics.
- Represent the college at recruitment events, conferences, and broader engagements as necessary.
- Oversee application assessment, admission decisions, enrollment confirmations, ensuring compliance with institutional policies, accreditation standards, and regulations.
- Maintain accurate admissions records and coordinate processes with financial aid, housing, academics, and registrar offices for smooth operation.
- Continuously optimize workflows, procedural timelines, and service quality standards.
- Recruit, mentor, supervise, and evaluate admissions staff, fostering a professional, collaborative, and service-oriented culture.
- Establish performance goals and monitor staff progress through coaching and professional development.
- Encourage team morale, commitment, and alignment with the institution’s mission.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree is mandatory; Master’s degree from Pensacola Christian College is preferred.
- Minimum of one year in a leadership role; preferred includes experience in customer service and strategic management.
