Job description

Overview

This opportunity is with a healthcare consulting employer and is designed for someone who can provide organized administrative support for the Federal Independent Dispute Resolution (IDR) program. The role is fully remote within the United States and offers the chance to contribute to healthcare improvement initiatives while working with a collaborative nationwide team.

The employer offers a comprehensive benefits package, professional development opportunities, and a workplace recognized by industry publications for its culture and employee experience. This position supports high-volume, detail-sensitive work tied to federal dispute processes and the No Surprises Act.

Key Responsibilities

You will handle administrative tasks that keep IDR cases moving smoothly, including data entry, report preparation, and maintenance of case records. The role also involves assisting with arbitration-related preparation, tracking deadlines and submission status, and managing a busy shared inbox by sorting and directing inquiries appropriately.

You will be expected to follow company procedures, protect accuracy across all documentation, and stay aligned with applicable federal requirements throughout the dispute lifecycle.

Required Qualifications

A candidate should have an associate degree or an equivalent mix of education and experience, along with at least two years of administrative support background. Strong computer skills are needed, especially in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams, and OneNote.

Success in this role also depends on excellent organization, strong attention to detail, and comfort working with medical claims-related documents such as remittance advice or Explanation of Benefits materials.

Preferred Experience

It will be an advantage to have familiarity with healthcare billing, reimbursement, payer-provider workflows, or broader healthcare operations. Experience handling large administrative workloads, shared inboxes, and document management tools is also helpful.

Exposure to systems such as Salesforce or SharePoint, along with the ability to electronically sign and organize PDF files using Foxit or similar software, would be useful. Experience with Visio is considered a plus.

Benefits and Work Environment

This role offers full remote flexibility anywhere in the United States, a supportive team culture, and a strong benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short- and long-term disability coverage, and a generous 401(k) match. The employer also supports ongoing learning and career growth.

Additional Information

The hiring organization positions itself as a curated job-matching service rather than a staffing agency, and it states that it does not directly employ the worker for this role. Candidate privacy, equal opportunity, and secure hiring practices are emphasized as part of the process.

The employer industry is healthcare consulting.
