Adjunct Faculty - Business

Job Overview

Roane State Community College is seeking an Adjunct Faculty member for Business to instruct various business courses across multiple campuses. This part-time faculty role involves both face-to-face and online teaching utilizing the D2L Brightspace learning management platform. The chosen candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons, maintaining accurate academic records, supporting students effectively, and adhering to institutional policies.

Responsibilities

• Conduct business courses in-person and online through D2L Brightspace LMS.
• Engage and instruct students with clarity and effectiveness.
• Perform assessments and manage grading with accuracy.
• Provide timely support and communication to students.
• Manage required technology and learning platforms efficiently.
• Comply with all college policies and procedures related to faculty roles.

Qualifications

• A master's degree in Business or related discipline, or a master's with at least 18 graduate semester hours in qualifying business fields.
• Qualifying disciplines include Business Administration, Accounting, Executive Leadership, Finance, Marketing, Management, Statistics, Business Mathematics, Business Education, Economics, and Sales.
• Experience teaching online courses and proficiency with D2L Brightspace is required for online instruction roles.
• Residency within the state of Tennessee is mandatory.
• Preferred candidates will bring prior teaching experience.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills, punctuality in reporting and recordkeeping, and responsiveness to student inquiries are essential.
