Role overview
This position offers the chance to create meaningful moments and improve everyday life for residents in a lively retirement community. The role is based at Ernest Rutherford Retirement Village in Stoke, Nelson, within a supportive team environment.
What the role involves
- Designing and delivering recreational, social, diversional, and craft programmes for residents.
- Helping to create a positive atmosphere that supports happiness, wellbeing, and a better quality of life.
- Working alongside colleagues and providing practical support to the wider team.
Working pattern and requirements
This is a full-time position with hours from Tuesday to Saturday, 09:30 to 16:30. A full driver licence is required, and you must be confident driving a manual van.

- A genuine desire to brighten residents’ days and make a difference.
- Good relationship-building skills and the ability to bring people together.
Desirable background
- Musical ability or a talent for performance or participation in music-based activities.
- Links to the wider local community.
- Previous experience in aged care, while beneficial, is not essential.
