About Holliswood Development, LLC
Holliswood Development, LLC is a woman-owned real estate development and investment company established in 2011, affiliated with Edifice Management. It operates as a fully integrated owner, operator, and developer with a proven record of generating strong risk-adjusted returns for its capital partners. The firm focuses primarily on small to mid-market value-add multifamily, mixed-use, and development properties, emphasizing tax-advantaged assets. The team's strategy targets New York City submarkets popular among students and young professionals, leveraging extensive development and asset management expertise to optimize income generation and acquire assets under favorable conditions.
Role Overview
This Acquisitions Associate position supports sourcing, underwriting, and executing acquisitions of value-add multifamily, mixed-use, and development site projects valued between $5 million and $50 million. Based in New York City, the role is a contract engagement with a hybrid work structure allowing partial remote work. Key daily duties include building financial models, conducting market research, screening prospective deals, and preparing investment memorandums and presentations. The associate will participate in due diligence processes, such as legal document reviews, managing third-party reports, and monitoring transaction timelines and key milestones. Effective communication with internal team members and external partners is essential, alongside maintaining organized deal documentation and contributing to strategic pipeline discussions.
Required Qualifications
- Proven ability to identify and evaluate real estate acquisition opportunities with strong analytical and deal assessment skills.
- Advanced proficiency in financial modeling, cash flow analysis, and knowledge of real estate capital structures.
- Experience conducting thorough due diligence including reviewing legal materials, assessing risks, and coordinating with legal teams, lenders, and vendors.
- Excellent communication abilities, capable of clearly presenting analytical findings and producing concise investment summaries while collaborating with varied stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Finance, Economics, Business, or related disciplines; advanced degrees or specialized coursework are advantageous.
- Familiarity with the New York City real estate environment, especially multifamily or mixed-use development projects, is preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the capacity to handle multiple transactions and deadlines effectively in a dynamic setting.
- Comfortable working within a small entrepreneurial team, demonstrating integrity and sound professional judgment at all times.
