Role Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team and support our mission to enhance health outcomes. This position involves managing electronic and manual remittance postings with accuracy and timeliness, collaborating with leadership and partners to ensure effective handling of account receivables.
Key Responsibilities
- Process and post electronic remittances from assigned payers within designated turnaround times using macros, computer tools, and multiple systems.
- Achieve weekly and monthly production goals following training completion.
- Conduct research on payer websites to gather supporting documentation for postings.
- Detect and report issues and trends related to assigned payers.
- Administer aged account receivables in compliance with Standard Operating Procedures.
- Maintain clear communication with leadership and partner teams to ensure precise and prompt remittance processing.
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent (GED).
- A minimum of one year experience in accounts receivable.
Preferred Qualifications
- At least one year of experience in an office or administrative environment.
- Experience in Revenue Cycle Management for one year or more.
- Healthcare-related experience including claims, explanation of benefits, cash posting, or billing for at least one year.
Additional Requirements and Standards
- Ability to independently manage time and workload while maintaining productivity.
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite and Excel.
- Strong communication skills.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities.
- Availability for a Saturday rotation schedule.
Schedule and Compensation
Work hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM EST. This role offers hourly pay in the range of $17.75 to $21.00, based on skills, experience, education, and market data.
