The opportunity
Wpromote is hiring an Accounts Receivable Specialist to support the finance function. This role centers on monthly invoicing and collections, with a strong emphasis on hands-on work, accuracy, and attention to detail. The successful candidate will help manage high-volume billing, incoming payments, credit card transactions, reconciliations, revenue reporting, analysis, month-end close, and audit support. The ideal person will be an accounting professional who is energetic, service-oriented, and skilled at building strong client relationships while ensuring cash is collected efficiently.

What you will do
- Partner with service teams to complete a large volume of monthly billing tasks.
- Post and allocate customer payments accurately.
- Handle collections activity to help keep accounts receivable aging within target levels.
- Prepare weekly bank deposits.
- Generate and distribute accounts receivable reports.
- Process credit card charges and perform related reconciliations.
- Maintain day-to-day communication with clients about payments, invoice disputes, and chargebacks.
- Track and record project completion percentages for revenue recognition purposes.
- Support the monthly close process.
- Work closely with the Revenue Accountant and broader Finance team.
- Assist with the annual audit process.
- Coordinate with outside accountants as needed.
- Contribute to the development, improvement, and rollout of reporting and process enhancements.
What you need
- An associate degree or bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related area.
- At least 3 years of experience in an accounting environment.
- Intermediate to advanced experience using NetSuite.
- Strong organizational skills, time management, and documentation habits.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to interpret agreements and identify billing-relevant terms.
- Solid Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and data handling.
- High integrity and the ability to protect confidential information.
- Self-motivation and the ability to work independently in a fast-moving entrepreneurial setting.
- A positive, collaborative attitude.
Compensation and benefits
The expected annual pay range for this role is $67,000 to $75,000. Final compensation may vary based on skill set, experience depth, education, certifications, market comparisons, scope of responsibility, geography, and applicable state salary thresholds. Work arrangement and location
This is a remote role and can be performed from most U.S. states, with some exclusions. Preference will be given to candidates based in Pacific Time or those willing to work Pacific Time hours.
