Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to projects focused on climate risk management, including developing methodologies, models, and assessment procedures for physical and transition risks.
- Evaluate how climate-related risks affect financial and business risk profiles.
- Review and analyze climate stress scenarios, risk factors, policies, and frameworks associated with managing climate risks.
- Assess the strategic, operational, financial, and risk consequences of sustainability trends, providing actionable insights for businesses.
- Assist clients in forming climate risk management systems, governance frameworks, and approaches for integrating such risks within enterprise risk management.
- Engage with clients to identify their needs, aid in crafting engagements, and contribute to technical reports and proposals.
- Manage intricate technical topics within the realms of sustainability and risk management.
- Apply expertise in pertinent regulations, standards, and best practices regarding climate change and sustainability.
- Work closely with internal teams and stakeholders to ensure delivery of high-quality advisory and assurance services.
Candidate Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Financial Engineering, Risk Management, Statistics, Actuarial Science, Analytics, or other STEM-related disciplines.
- At least 2 years’ experience in areas such as risk management, credit risk, statistical or climate risk modeling, banking risk, or allied fields.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills, capable of interpreting complex data.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, suitable for audiences ranging from technical experts to non-specialists.
- Familiarity with analytical programming languages and tools such as SAS, R, Python, or SQL is advantageous.
- Experience or awareness of ESG reporting, sustainability disclosures, or regulatory compliance is preferred.
- Involvement in designing or implementing ESG-centered initiatives is a plus.
- Ability to effectively engage senior-level stakeholders and contribute to client interactions.
- Strong organizational abilities to manage priorities within an evolving environment.
