Job description
Overview
This role involves meticulous verification of figures, postings, and documentation for accuracy and proper coding. The incumbent will manage and safeguard financial files, records, and cash equivalents in line with company protocols. Utilization of computerized systems for recording, storing, accessing, and analyzing financial data is essential. The position requires classifying, coding, and summarizing financial data to maintain comprehensive journals and ledger records. Completing period-end closing tasks and reports, conducting audits on cashier banks, and managing petty cash and contracts form a core part of responsibilities.
Key Duties
- Verify numerical data and documentation for correctness and suitable coding.
- Organize and secure all financial records and cash equivalents following set procedures.
- Input and analyze financial information using electronic systems.
- Prepare and maintain thorough financial records using journals and ledgers.
- Execute periodic closing procedures and generate required reports.
- Conduct regular audits on cashier banks as per standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Manage, distribute, and document petty cash, cashier banks, and contract records.
- Address all cash variances through proper documentation and action.
- Serve as the communication link between the property and armored transport or banking services.
- Participate in internal, external, and regulatory audit activities ensuring SOP compliance.

- Ensure a clean, professional appearance and safeguard company assets.

- Capable of handling objects up to 10 pounds independently as required.
- Perform additional tasks assigned by supervisors.
Qualifications
- Minimum education requirement is a high school diploma or equivalent G.E.D.
- At least 12 months of relevant experience in accounts payable or related financial roles.
- No supervisory experience necessary.
- No specific certifications required.
