Accounting Manager - E-commerce Company in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia

Overview

We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to lead the financial and accounting functions of a rapidly developing e-commerce enterprise based in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. This role involves overseeing financial operations, budgeting, forecasting, management reporting, compliance, and internal controls, while delivering strategic financial insights to drive business expansion.

Core Responsibilities

• Direct the full spectrum of accounting activities including General Ledger management, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, and Bank Reconciliation processes.
• Compile precise monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements aligned with relevant accounting standards.
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning cycles.
• Generate, analyze, and present detailed Management Information System (MIS) reports to top management.
• Manage month-end and year-end closing tasks ensuring timely and accurate financial disclosures.
• Monitor and control cash flow, working capital, and overall financial health of the company.
• Ensure adherence to accounting standards, tax laws, VAT regulations, and internal company policies.
• Implement and enhance internal controls to protect company assets and boost operational productivity.
• Conduct financial, profitability, and variance analyses to support strategic decision-making.
• Liaise with external auditors, tax professionals, and regulatory bodies for audits and statutory reporting.
• Administer ERP financial modules ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team to fulfill departmental goals.
• Identify opportunities to streamline processes and encourage automation to improve financial reporting and efficiency.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
• Professional qualifications like CPA, CMA, ACCA, or SOCPA are advantageous.
• At least 5 to 8 years of progressive accounting experience, with 2 to 3 years in managerial roles.
• Prior work experience in E-commerce, Retail, Marketplace, or Digital Commerce sectors is strongly preferred.
• Comprehensive knowledge of IFRS, budgeting, forecasting, VAT, and internal controls.
• Hands-on experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, Odoo, or NetSuite.
• Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with financial reporting software.
• Strong leadership, analytical thinking, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
• Capability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-moving environment handling multiple tasks efficiently.
