  • Help with month-end and year-end closing tasks.

  • Organize and maintain filing systems for finance documents and accounting records.
  • Assist in preparing financial reports, schedules, and audit-related documents.
  • Support tax submissions and statutory paperwork where relevant.
  • Track overdue balances and follow up on collections when needed.

Accounting Assistant - Qualifications

The role suits candidates with a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a similar field. A solid grasp of bookkeeping, accounting basics, and financial reporting is expected, along with working knowledge of accounting software, ERP tools, and Microsoft Excel. Strong numeracy, analysis, organization, accuracy, communication, and interpersonal skills are important. The ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines is also required. Familiarity with tax rules and statutory requirements is a plus, and professional accounting studies or certifications are considered an advantage.

Financial Accountant - What you will handle

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial statements in line with applicable accounting standards.
  • Manage general ledger work, including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations.
  • Handle month-end and year-end close processes.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting policies, tax rules, and statutory reporting obligations.
  • Prepare financial analysis, schedules, and management reports.
  • Coordinate internal and external audits and provide the necessary supporting records.
  • Maintain fixed asset registers and manage depreciation accounting.
  • Monitor balance sheet reconciliations and resolve differences.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.

Financial Accountant - Qualifications

Applicants should hold a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or an equivalent discipline. A strong understanding of financial accounting, financial reporting, and accounting standards is needed, together with knowledge of taxation, statutory reporting, and internal control concepts. Experience with ERP systems, accounting software, and Microsoft Excel is important. The role also calls for strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and stakeholder management skills, along with excellent communication. Integrity, accuracy, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines are essential.
