Role Overview

This opportunity is ideal for both graduate trainees (preferably with studies in business or accountancy) and candidates with 1-2 years’ experience in practice roles. The position promises diverse responsibilities supporting SME clients, with a focus on audit, insolvency, and general compliance areas.

Key Areas of Work

• Audit Services: You will engage in statutory audits for SMEs, including those with turnovers up to €50 million, across varied industries such as retail, technology, construction, and non-profits. The firm also performs audits for charities, arts, film sectors, and financial entities regulated by the Central Bank. Training emphasizes adherence to recognized auditing standards.
• Accounts, Taxation, and Compliance: Gain experience preparing annual accounts compliant with FRS 102 and related frameworks, filing VAT and payroll, supporting bookkeeping software use, and managing company secretarial requirements including CRO filings.
• Corporate Recovery & Insolvency: Participate in handling insolvency matters such as creditor and member voluntary liquidations. Duties include attending creditor meetings, collaborating with various stakeholders, assisting in investigative processes regarding company insolvency and director conduct, asset realization efforts, forensic inquiries, and restructuring activities.

Employment Details

This role is offered on a permanent basis, providing paid study leave and covering exam costs aligned with ACCA training guidelines, facilitating candidates to achieve ACCA qualification.

Candidate Profile

• Suitable for graduates or candidates with 1-2 years in accountancy practice eager to advance skills in auditing and insolvency.

• Proficient computer skills, especially Excel.
