Position Overview
Fratelli Cosulich Group's finance team based in Singapore manages accounting, treasury, and fiscal operations for various entities across Asia, notably in Singapore and Hong Kong. They seek a seasoned Accountant to join their Singapore office, reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer.
Primary Duties
- Manage and supervise accounting functions related to the Bunker Barge fleet.
- Perform depreciation and mortgage calculations for accurate financial documentation of each barge.
- Collaborate with the Shipping division to address and fulfill financial requirements.
- Provide financial analysis and supports to aid operational decisions.
- Work together with the procurement center to optimize financial workflows.
- Ensure precise recording of financial transactions associated with purchasing activities.
- Prepare, generate, and analyze financial reports to inform management.
- Assist in compiling financial statements and reporting.
- Maintain compliance with accounting standards, legal regulations, and company policies.
- Support audit processes by furnishing required documents and details.
- Maintain open communication channels within internal teams, especially acting as the financial liaison among departments.
Qualifications and Skills
- Possess a Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
- Professional certification such as CPA or its equivalent is preferred.
- At least three years of accounting experience, ideally in maritime or shipping sectors.
- In-depth understanding of financial principles, regulatory frameworks, and best practices.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving aptitudes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
