Accountant - Finance Department

Position Overview

Fratelli Cosulich Group's finance team based in Singapore manages accounting, treasury, and fiscal operations for various entities across Asia, notably in Singapore and Hong Kong. They seek a seasoned Accountant to join their Singapore office, reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer.

Primary Duties

• Manage and supervise accounting functions related to the Bunker Barge fleet.
• Perform depreciation and mortgage calculations for accurate financial documentation of each barge.
• Collaborate with the Shipping division to address and fulfill financial requirements.
• Provide financial analysis and supports to aid operational decisions.
• Work together with the procurement center to optimize financial workflows.
• Ensure precise recording of financial transactions associated with purchasing activities.
• Prepare, generate, and analyze financial reports to inform management.
• Assist in compiling financial statements and reporting.
• Maintain compliance with accounting standards, legal regulations, and company policies.
• Support audit processes by furnishing required documents and details.
• Maintain open communication channels within internal teams, especially acting as the financial liaison among departments.

Qualifications and Skills

• Possess a Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
• Professional certification such as CPA or its equivalent is preferred.
• At least three years of accounting experience, ideally in maritime or shipping sectors.
• In-depth understanding of financial principles, regulatory frameworks, and best practices.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving aptitudes.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
