Role overview
The Account Services Associate supports deposit account operations with a focus on IRA records, account maintenance, legal and bank research, and regulatory hold processing. This role also helps manage wire activity, assists with compliance monitoring, and ensures account documentation is complete, accurate, and handled on time.
Key responsibilities
- Enter IRA details correctly and keep IRA records organized and up to date.
- Track and submit monthly interest payments for Interest On Lawyer Trust Accounts (IOLTA).
- Check documentation for new accounts to confirm it is complete and accurate.
- Carry out account maintenance tasks requested by branches.
- Handle legal research and banking research requests.
- Review Reg CC holds sent by branches, confirming accuracy, completeness, and timely correction of any returned documents.
- Make sure branches apply hold timeframes properly and notify customers within required deadlines.
- Process or validate incoming and outgoing wire transfers through the Fedline Advantage Fedwire platform, reconcile totals to the general ledger and Federal Reserve balances, confirm signatures and approval limits, and credit incoming funds to customer accounts.
- Finish all required and optional training, including Bank Secrecy Act and Anti-Money Laundering training, while staying aligned with applicable regulations.
- Support the BSA Officer by monitoring alerts generated in the AML system to help maintain compliance with BSA and related anti-terrorism, money laundering, and bank security rules.
- Maintain regular and dependable attendance, which is essential for this position.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Experience and qualifications
- High school diploma or GED is required.
- At least 1 year of customer service experience, including phone-based support, is required.
- Experience with FISERV Premier is needed.
- Background in new account setup, account documentation, deposit account maintenance, IRA processing, and IOLTA is required.
- Candidate must be able to work reliably and follow banking procedures and compliance standards.
