About the Role
Wolters Kluwer Health is a trusted global leader providing clinical decision support and healthcare technology solutions that help medical professionals make informed choices at point of care through products such as UpToDate, Lexidrug, and Expert AI. This position is based in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia, and focuses on managing and expanding strategic healthcare accounts. Reporting to the Sales Director, you will oversee a portfolio of accounts across Queensland and assigned regions, driving both retention and new customer acquisition.
Key Responsibilities
- Consistently meet and surpass yearly sales and renewal goals.
- Handle all stages of the customer journey, including renewals, upselling, and acquiring new clients.
- Create and implement strategic account plans for healthcare organizations entrusted to you.
- Identify and pursue opportunities to grow within existing clients and through new prospects.
- Maintain a precise and up-to-date sales pipeline with accurate forecasts.
- Generate new leads across public and private healthcare sectors by leading solution-driven sales discussions focused on clinical and operational goals.
- Manage long and complex sales processes with multiple stakeholders and procurement entities.
- Develop executive-level relationships with clinical leaders, procurement, digital health professionals, and other key decision-makers.
- Collaborate with customers to maximize adoption and measurable benefits of Wolters Kluwer products.
- Support training, implementation, and engagement initiatives alongside internal departments.
- Recognize and mitigate risks that could jeopardize renewals or customer satisfaction.
- Build and maintain strong connections with government health agencies, public hospitals, health networks, and other healthcare institutions.
- Understand government procurement procedures and tender requirements.
- Stay informed about healthcare market trends, policy changes, and funding programs that may offer growth potential.
- Represent the company at industry gatherings and client meetings.
- Work cross-functionally with Customer Success, Marketing, Product, Clinical Consulting, leadership, and APAC teams to align on strategy and share intelligence.
Candidate Profile
- A bachelor's degree in Business, Healthcare, Life Sciences, Nursing, Pharmacy, Health Informatics, or a related field.
- At least five years of effective B2B sales or account management experience.
- Proven success record in achieving or exceeding sales objectives.
- Experience handling enterprise or strategic accounts.
- Familiarity and connections with government, healthcare, or public sector organizations, including C-suite contacts in Australia.
- Skill in managing complex sales cycles engaging multiple decision-makers.
- Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation capabilities.
- High commercial insight and analytical skills.
- Willingness to undertake approximately 30% domestic travel within Queensland and other assigned locations, depending on business needs.
Preferred Qualifications
- Background in selling SaaS, healthcare technology, clinical decision support systems, or digital health solutions.
- Experience engaging hospitals, health systems, universities, and government healthcare entities.
- Understanding of clinical workflows and healthcare decision-making processes.
- Familiarity with CRM platforms such as Salesforce.
