Overview
This position is for an experienced Account Manager to join a growing print and direct mail company in Huddersfield. The role sits within a business that serves clients from a wide range of sectors, with a strong focus on relationship management, project coordination, and account growth.
You will be responsible for guiding customer work from the first enquiry through to final delivery, while also spotting opportunities to expand existing accounts. The ideal background is in print, direct mail, mailing services, packaging, marketing services, or a similar field, and the role suits someone who enjoys client contact and high-quality service.
Role Summary
As the primary contact for your assigned customers, you will make sure projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and to a high standard. You will work closely with production, design, and operations teams, juggling several live projects at once while helping grow revenue and strengthen long-term partnerships.
Responsibilities
- Look after a portfolio of established print and direct mail accounts.
- Create and maintain strong working relationships with clients and other stakeholders.
- Manage enquiries, quotations, and briefs from early discussion through to delivery.
- Liaise with production and operations teams so work is accurate and completed on time.
- Spot chances to sell additional products and services to existing customers.
- Prepare precise quotes and handle customer orders.
- Track project status and update customers at each stage.
- Deal with customer questions and issues promptly and professionally.
- Keep CRM and internal records accurate and up to date.
- Work towards targets linked to account growth and customer retention.
Candidate Profile
Applicants should bring prior experience from print, direct mail, mailing services, packaging, marketing services, or a comparable industry. Backgrounds in account management, client services, customer success, internal sales, or project management are all relevant.
Strong communication skills, an organised approach, and the ability to coordinate multiple projects at once are essential. A commercially aware mindset, confidence using CRM tools and Microsoft Office, and a proactive, detail-oriented, team-first attitude are also important for success in this role.
Working Pattern and Package
This is a full-time office-based role in Huddersfield with working hours from Monday to Friday. The salary is £30,000 per annum, plus OTE.
