About Giga Energy and Role Overview
Giga Energy operates at an exceptional pace in the AI infrastructure space, delivering impactful work with a team of top-tier professionals from leading innovative companies. As an integral player in powering the AI revolution, Giga supplies the essential infrastructure behind AI advancements. The company recently secured a significant contract with a leading AI firm to build a large-scale data center.
Job Responsibilities
As the Account Manager, you will be the primary liaison overseeing the entire relationship with the AI enterprise customer, from the groundbreaking stage to go-live and ongoing development. You will ensure the client experiences the full commitment of Giga, managing all internal coordination to meet commitments. Beyond completion, your focus will shift to identifying and pursuing growth opportunities, expanding the partnership, and supporting additional AI Data Center colocation clients.
Working Environment
This position is based in the San Francisco office, reflecting an in-office culture designed to enable rapid decision-making and physical infrastructure development. While the role requires full-time onsite presence with bi-weekly remote work Fridays, exceptional candidates outside the hubs may negotiate remote arrangements.
Detailed Responsibilities
- Act as the main contact for the AI enterprise customer throughout the data center development lifecycle, managing the relationship comprehensively.
- Establish and nurture strong, trust-based connections with senior customer stakeholders, ensuring transparency, support, and confidence in Giga's delivery.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams—account executives, project managers, and engineers—to guarantee timely, specification-compliant delivery.
- Anticipate and resolve potential challenges proactively to prevent escalations, serving as the communication bridge between client and internal operations.
- Conduct regular status calls and executive business reviews, communicating complex updates into clear messages for the customer.
- Devise and implement strategies to grow the account post-development by spotting expansion avenues and positioning Giga for further engagements.
- Monitor account health, customer satisfaction, and milestones, reporting internally on risks, successes, and opportunities.
Candidate Requirements
- Minimum five years managing large-scale enterprise accounts in infrastructure, energy, construction, or similarly complex, capital-heavy industries.
- Strong background in overseeing substantial client relationships from contract closure through project delivery and renewal phases.
- Exceptional coordination skills across multiple internal teams including legal, finance, engineering, and project management.
- Excellent communication abilities with executive presence, proficient in liaising with C-suite and senior stakeholders.
- Experience dealing with long development or delivery periods involving multiple concurrent initiatives.
- Aptitude for recognizing commercial growth within accounts and driving internal alignment for expansion efforts.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience related to data center construction, energy infrastructure, or AI/cloud hardware sectors.
- Background working in high-growth startups, especially in creating account management frameworks from scratch.
- Pre-existing connections within the AI or hyperscale environments.
- Familiarity with terminology and timelines of large-scale construction or development projects.
Benefits and Company Culture
- Subsidized coverage for health, dental, and vision insurance.
- Equity options in a rapidly expanding startup.
- 401(k) plan with 4% employer matching.
- Generous unlimited paid time off.
- Parental leave provisions.
- Flexible Spending or Health Savings Accounts for healthcare and dependent care.
- Commuter benefits and monthly in-person team meetings across offices.
Who We Seek
The ideal candidate thrives in fast-paced, uncertain environments, is proactive in identifying needs and taking initiative, and excels in making timely decisions with available information to maintain momentum. Perfection is less important than the ability to deliver results.
