Role overview

Macy’s is hiring an Account Management Specialist to serve as the lead relationship owner and strategic partner for clients. In this role, you will coordinate advertising plans with internal teams and external partners, guide campaigns from proposal through launch and optimization, and support post-campaign reporting. You will also look for ways to strengthen client partnerships and uncover growth opportunities within Macy’s Media Network.

This position is based in New York, NY and is part of Macy’s full-time schedule.

Key responsibilities

  • Build trusted advisor relationships with clients and act as their main day-to-day contact.
  • Gather and coordinate input from clients and cross-functional teams to keep projects moving smoothly.
  • Maintain trackers and project plans so everyone stays aligned on campaign status and deliverables.
  • Run client meetings and prepare polished presentation decks with contributions from partner teams.
  • Help shape strategic media plans using a strong understanding of Macy’s onsite and offsite media offerings, advertiser goals, and KPI requirements.
  • Work within rate card guidelines while supporting yield management, contract discussions, and vendor relationship development.
  • Partner closely with Creative and Ad Operations teams to ensure campaigns are properly planned and executed.
  • Promote an inclusive, respectful team culture that supports strong relationships with colleagues, customers, and communities.

Experience and qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience is preferred.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in retail media ad sales and/or account management.
  • Strong ability to manage client relationships and collaborate across internal and external stakeholders.
  • Clear verbal and written communication skills, including experience presenting to clients and teams.
  • Ability to analyze information, spot trends, and contribute to strategic marketing recommendations.
  • Well-developed project coordination and organization skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Comfort using PowerPoint and Excel, along with familiarity with digital advertising and retail media concepts.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule depending on business and department needs.
  • Physical requirements include sitting, speaking, hearing, using hands/fingers, occasional movement around the workplace, reaching with arms, and close vision.

Compensation and benefits

The expected annual pay range for this role is $81,120 to $135,120, depending on job factors, location, and schedule.
