Job description
Role Overview
As an Account Executive specialising in Strategic Independent Software Vendors (ISVs) in New Zealand, you will lead engagements with one or more ISV clients to drive AWS service adoption aimed at enhancing their software innovation and business growth. You will collaborate closely with C-level executives to advance digital transformation initiatives, helping these software companies modernize applications, utilize Generative and agent-based AI technologies, optimize cloud financials, and expand their SaaS platforms globally. Your role involves partnering with technology leaders, product teams, and business stakeholders, alongside AWS industry and technology experts, to facilitate significant customer outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop in-depth knowledge of software industry dynamics to craft and implement comprehensive account strategies for assigned strategic ISVs.
- Own the delivery and execution of these account plans, building and nurturing vital relationships at C-Suite, product, and technology levels.
- Coordinate cross-functional AWS teams, including executives, business development, solution architects, and ISV specialists, as well as partners, to provide transformational solutions to customers.
- Articulate compelling business value propositions centered on AWS offerings, emphasizing AI/ML services, modern application frameworks, and marketplace opportunities.
- Manage complex, multi-stakeholder customer engagements, create visionary strategies, and lead diverse partners to achieve set outcomes.
- Engage and present to senior executives, product managers, engineering leaders, and various business units.
- Identify, negotiate, and successfully close large-scale technology contracts with strategic ISV customers.
Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum 5 years' experience in end-to-end technology sales, business development, or related roles such as sales engineering or consulting.
- Proven track record in managing full sales cycles and driving business growth in technology sectors.
- Preferred background in engineering, computer science, or management information systems (MIS).
- Experience engaging C-level executives and developing greenfield accounts is advantageous.
