Job description
About the Company
The company behind this role is building a collaborative AI workspace designed to bring people, projects, meetings, knowledge, and AI tools into a single environment. The aim is to reduce fragmentation, speed up work, and help teams operate with greater clarity. Its platform is used by individuals, small businesses, and large enterprises alike.
Employees are expected to be active users of the product and to help shape the future of work through quality execution, durable thinking, and a belief that strong work is deeply human. The broader mission is not just to launch features, but to raise the bar for how people collaborate in the AI era.
About the Role
This Sydney-based Account Executive position focuses on commercial and SMB accounts, with responsibility for both winning new customers and expanding existing ones. The role suits a full-cycle seller who can manage discovery, present live demonstrations, work through technical and business objections, and move complex opportunities through to contract close. A strong outbound approach and a fast sense of urgency are essential.
You will regularly engage with senior decision-makers such as CIOs, CTOs, Vice Presidents of Product, and Vice Presidents of Engineering. Success in the role depends on building strong product understanding in technical use cases, including APIs, data, developer tools, infrastructure, and AI or agentic workflows.
Key Responsibilities
- Build new pipeline proactively with an outbound-led sales approach and create momentum quickly inside target accounts.
- Manage the complete sales process from prospecting and discovery through solution alignment, demonstrations, stakeholder coordination, negotiation, and final close.
- Lead discovery conversations that uncover business goals and technical needs, then turn those findings into a clear value story.
- Conduct live product demos and adapt the narrative to each customer, including light solution planning such as workspace design, permissions setup, rollout strategy, and integrations where needed.
- Work through commercial-stage hurdles such as security, legal, and procurement requirements with support from internal partners.
- Maintain accurate forecasting and deliver steady, high-velocity execution against quota.
- Collaborate with Solutions, Product, and Marketing teams and feed customer insight back into the business.
Required Skills and Experience
- 1 to 3 years of closing experience in a full-cycle, quota-carrying role, or in a closely related position with clear exposure to closing.
- A track record of consistent performance against target.
- Strong English communication skills.
- Experience selling to, or working closely with, technical buyer groups such as CIOs, CTOs, VP Engineering, or VP Product.
- Ability to connect product capabilities to business outcomes and ROI.
- Strong outbound habits, creative prospecting skills, and comfort handling the full sales motion including discovery, demos, and close.
- Proven ability to run multi-threaded deals and influence multiple stakeholders across complex organizations.
- Fast learner with curiosity and the ability to absorb and explain technical concepts clearly.
- Practical use of AI tools in day-to-day work and comfort discussing modern AI-enabled workflows.
- Comfort with ambiguity and an ability to help refine go-to-market motions, establish repeatable processes, and shape scaling efforts.
Nice to Have
- Exposure to usage-based or consumption-based pricing models.
- Background in developer tools, APIs, data, infrastructure, or AI products.
- Experience as an early sales hire at a fast-growing startup.
