Role overview

Join a fast-growing fintech company in Berlin that helps small businesses simplify payments across the DACH region and beyond. The team supports millions of merchants in more than 30 countries and is expanding a new outbound sales function in Germany.

This position is for an Outbound Account Executive focused on SMB customers, especially established small merchants with monthly transaction volumes above €15,000. The role covers the complete sales journey, from finding and qualifying prospects to closing deals. Rather than acting as a simple product seller, you will work as a solutions advisor, building trust with customers and recommending the right payment, POS, and kiosk options for their needs.

The role is office-based in Berlin and gives you the chance to shape new processes, take real ownership, and help grow the German market.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the entire sales process from first contact through to signed deal.
  • Proactively approach prospects through cold calling, email outreach, and social channels.
  • Own and develop your territory, including market study and competitor review.
  • Create and maintain a healthy, well-qualified sales pipeline.
  • Run structured discovery and consultation meetings to uncover customer needs and match them with suitable payment, POS, and kiosk solutions.
  • Deliver persuasive product presentations and demos that move prospects toward a purchase decision.
  • Address objections confidently and communicate with owners and senior decision-makers.
  • Work closely with internal functions such as Sales Enablement and Product to exchange feedback and improve outcomes.
  • Monitor your performance, work toward targets, and continuously improve using feedback and data.
  • Help build a motivated, high-energy outbound sales culture in the office.

Requirements

  • Multiple years of outbound B2B sales experience, preferably in SMB or upper-SMB segments.
  • Demonstrated success in full-cycle sales with direct quota ownership.
  • Hands-on experience with cold calling, lead generation, and pipeline development.
  • Ability to assess more complex customer needs and sell through a consultative, value-driven approach.
  • Strong German language skills at native or C2 level, plus good English proficiency.
  • Self-driven mindset, strong ownership, and a clear hunter mentality.
  • Interest in technology, payment products, and working with entrepreneurs.
