Job description

Overview

This role is for an Accommodation Administrator supporting remote sites across Far North Queensland. The position is part of a fast-moving operations environment where the focus is on keeping accommodation, travel, and front-desk processes running smoothly.

The roster follows a 14 days on and 7 days off pattern, and an immediate start is available. The opportunity sits within a global organization recognized for large-scale service delivery and quality of life solutions.

Key Duties

The role centers on high-volume accommodation check-ins, flight reservations, accurate data entry, database upkeep, and reception support. You will work closely with the Integrated Services Manager and help ensure day-to-day accommodation coordination is handled efficiently.

Location and Work Arrangement

This is intended as a local hire position, which means applicants should live in Weipa or nearby suburbs. For the right candidate, FIFO from Cairns may also be considered.

Candidate Profile

The ideal applicant is organized, self-driven, and experienced in hospitality or similar service-focused environments. Strong customer interaction skills and the ability to manage competing priorities in a busy team are important.

About the Employer

The employer delivers services in remote locations across Australia, including onshore and offshore settings. Its Energy & Resources division supports mining, offshore and marine, onshore energy, and engineering and construction projects. The wider team works to improve productivity, strengthen client relationships, reduce site issues, and enhance life at remote worksites.

Requirements

  • Experience handling accommodation reservations, ideally in-flight or within a remote village, resort, or comparable setting.
  • Previous administrative experience in a high-pressure, fast-paced team environment.
  • Familiarity with inflight accommodation systems is preferred, though not mandatory.
  • Strong working knowledge of the MS Office suite at an intermediate to advanced level.
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand customer needs, provide high-quality service, and build positive client experiences.
  • Current open C-class driver licence.
  • Full driver licence.
