Job description
Role Overview and Responsibilities
The 5th to 8th Grade Manager of School Culture and Student Success is responsible for cultivating a safe and welcoming environment within the school community. This position emphasizes restorative approaches, employing data-informed strategies to address behavioral issues effectively. The manager oversees positive behavior reinforcement programs, works collaboratively on Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) Tier 2 and Tier 3 interventions, and provides coaching to staff on classroom management and social-emotional learning (SEL) curriculum. Building strong, trusting relationships with students and families is a key component, ensuring alignment with the Chicago Public Schools (CPS) Code of Conduct.
