Role Overview
The Operational Support Grade (OSG) position at His Majesty's Prison and Probation Service, specifically at HMP Grendon and HMP Springhill, involves a crucial role in maintaining the smooth functioning of a busy prison environment. The job spans a wide array of duties, including security and gate searches, managing incoming deliveries, supervising visitors, as well as monitoring phone calls and CCTV footage. This role combines administrative desk work with physically active tasks such as lifting, carrying, and escorting vehicles across prison grounds.

Working Conditions and Requirements
- The role requires flexible availability, including shift work on weekends and nights to maintain continuous operations.
- Driving duties are integral to the position; therefore, holding a full, valid UK Driving Licence is mandatory.
- Your interaction with prisoners will generally be limited compared to prison officers, though occasional contact may occur depending on the prison context.
