Role Overview

We are seeking a Facilities Coordinator with experience in building maintenance who thrives in a dynamic environment involving both a variety of tasks and extensive interaction with people. This role is embedded within the Operations & Facilities Team at the University of Otago and involves managing maintenance activities across a range of residential university flats, housing, and undergraduate college buildings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Organising, scheduling, and responding to various maintenance tasks including reactive, corrective, and planned work.
  • Coordinating with both internal teams and contracted trade services to execute repairs, replacements, and renewals related to building infrastructure.

About The Team

The Property Operations department manages facilities and related services for the University’s built environment. Facilities Coordinators in this role work directly alongside the Campus and Collegiate Life Services (CaCLS) team to ensure university accommodation facilities remain safe and comfortable for occupants.

Additional Details

  • This is a permanent, full-time role requiring 37.5 hours per week, based in Ōtepoti, Dunedin.
  • The annual salary range for this position is $69,931 to $74,609, with a maximum potential of $80,285.
  • Employees receive 6.75% superannuation contributions and an allowance for a cell phone.
