About the Role
Join a venture capital-backed B2B marketplace scale-up based in London as the Chief Technology Officer. This executive leadership position offers a salary range of £100,000 to £140,000 plus equity. You will be responsible for steering the technological direction during an ambitious period of growth, aiming to scale both the platform and the team through a tenfold increase in revenue.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the evolution of the marketplace architecture to support substantial increases in order volume with dependable performance.
- Expand and strengthen a 40-strong product and engineering team by adding leadership roles and enhancing delivery efficiency.
- Drive initiatives leveraging data and AI for purposes such as demand forecasting, personalized user experience, and automation of internal processes.
- Collaborate closely with the CEO to ensure the technology strategy aligns with commercial objectives and operational excellence.
Candidate Profile
- Demonstrated success in managing technology and engineering scaling throughout high-growth phases, specifically within B2B or marketplace sectors.
- Strong technical expertise capable of critically evaluating architectural choices while maintaining a commercially-focused operational approach.
- Experience in implementing applied AI and data platforms to achieve tangible business results and improve operational efficiencies.
