Role overview
The resort is hiring an Assistant Executive Housekeeper (Public Area) to oversee the daily running of public-area housekeeping operations and maintain high standards across all shared spaces.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day smooth functioning of all public areas.
- Plan and allocate daily tasks to Public Area Attendants and Cleaners.
- Lead the team to keep public spaces clean, safe, and well maintained.
- Carry out regular inspections to make sure quality standards are consistently achieved.
- Work with external vendors for specialised services such as pest control and exterior cleaning.
- Track operating costs and ensure sufficient stock of cleaning materials and equipment.
- Handle guest queries, feedback, and service recovery matters related to public areas quickly and professionally.
- Maintain compliance with workplace safety, hygiene, and environmental requirements.
Candidate profile
The ideal applicant should have hands-on experience in cleaning and supervising public areas in a hotel, resort, or attraction, preferably in an outdoor setting. Strong communication and guest engagement abilities are important, especially when dealing with both international and local visitors. A solid understanding of housekeeping or public-area operations is required, along with knowledge of workplace safety and the correct use of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
